What happens

A glowing white dot appears on a dark monitor, then an older man with white hair, a pink sweater and a lanyard glances sideways with a smug, half-lidded look beside Bart, the spiky-haired boy in an orange shirt, who sits in a red chair and smirks with his eyes narrowed. The scene then cuts to a purple-framed TV screen where a green-and-blue globe with an orange stand turns slowly, first showing Asia and Australia, then Africa and the Atlantic, and finally the Pacific Ocean.
