What happens

Homer, in a blue suit and red tie with a red-white-and-blue striped Uncle Sam hat, stands on a purple pedestal in front of a crowd in a town street, gesturing with his arms out and then wide as he speaks. Among the onlookers are Apu at the left edge near a red car, a bald man in the foreground, Lisa with her blue star-shaped hair and a bone-shaped hair accessory watching in the lower center, and Grampa with his white beard on the right, while a crowd of townspeople of various shapes and sizes watches intently. Behind Homer, a large brown bear sculpture sits atop the pedestal, and a pink car drives past in the background. Homer's arms gradually move from pointing down at his sides to spreading outward in an open-handed gesture, and the crowd's mouths move as they react and talk.
