What happens

Bart Simpson, the boy with spiky hair in an orange shirt and blue shorts, stands in a classroom at a chalkboard, chalk in hand, writing the repeated line "I WAS NOT THE INSPIRATION FOR 'KRAMER'" in rows across the board. He pauses, turns and steps away from the board toward the back of the room, then tosses an object into the red wastebasket beside the green wall and the door, with the chalkboard alphabet strip above it. The sequence opens on a blue sky with drifting clouds, where the title card "THE SIMPSONS" gradually appears in orange letters before the scene cuts to the classroom.
