What happens

Homer Simpson, the bald, heavy man in a white shirt and blue pants, stands in a cluttered basement room of stacked boxes and papers, first at a blue table with a spiral notebook labeled "INVENTIONS" and a pencil on it. He gestures with his hands, leans forward with wide eyes and an open mouth as if excited, then straightens up and walks over to a folding table on the right beside a yellow appliance. He bends over the table, then stands back up, turns slightly and slumps with a downcast, dejected expression, looking at the floor while the notebook and pencil sit on the table behind him. A wooden chair, a ladder, and a black tire are visible against the back wall.
