Bart appears at the start of the moment after a black screen
The Simpsons, “Treehouse of Horror IX” (season 10, episode 4), 0:00–0:07
What happens
Bart, the spiky-haired boy in an orange shirt and blue shorts, appears at the start of the moment after a black screen. Over a stormy sky of rain-streaked clouds and flashing lightning, the orange title THE SIMPSONS forms and then zooms in, revealing a yellow blob that frames Bart at a green chalkboard reading THE SIMPSONS HALLOWEEN SPECIAL, where he stands beside a jack-o'-lantern bucket and a blue trash can. Bart seems to be reaching toward the board's chalk tray as the scene settles.
