What happens

Homer Simpson, bald and heavy with stubble and glasses in a white shirt and blue pants, stands in a narrow pink-walled hallway beside a green refrigerator and a purple wall, holding a red telephone to his ear while gripping a clipboard and pencil. Across the moment he keeps the phone pressed to his ear, grimaces and grins, then turns his head slightly and speaks, his mouth opening and closing as he jots notes on the clipboard. A small note is pinned to the wall beside the red phone, and a red heart sticker is stuck to the green refrigerator.
