What happens

A young man with short brown hair, glasses, and a blue jacket with gold trim and a patch on the chest, who is not one of the regular family or town characters, first hurries through a doorway and then pushes between the sliding doors of an orange-and-blue bus, waving one hand and then gripping the doors and yelling as the bus starts to pull away. The bus rolls down a city street at sunset past rows of colourful buildings, with passengers waving from its windows, while the man is left behind and drops flat onto the pavement, stretching one arm out after it. Lettering on the back of his jacket is partly visible as he lies on the road.
