What happens

Two uniformed naval officers, one with dark hair and one with grey hair, stand at a blue railing on a ship's deck and look through binoculars, with the caption "Supervising Director JIM REARDON" on screen. A grey-haired admiral and a dark-haired officer then lower their binoculars and react while a baby in a white captain's uniform and cap runs across the deck with arms outstretched and tumbles to the floor. The scene then cuts to a living room where Homer, in a white shirt and blue pants, reads a book on a brown couch under a green MID-SEASON pennant, while Marge, with her tall blue beehive, holds Maggie in her lap. Bart and Lisa lie on a colorful rug in front of them.
