What happens

Apu, the stout man with grey hair, a green jacket and white pants, stands in an arched room facing his wife, a woman in a pink dress with a yellow shawl, a red bindi and a black ponytail, who is recognizable as Manjula rather than a regular. At first they stand facing each other, then Apu turns to her, gesturing with a raised finger and grinning as he speaks. Manjula looks on coolly, then grins and turns away, then in the last moment she stands with her arms clasped and her eyes shut in a cool, dismissive pose. The room has green walls, a candle on a side table, a kitchen with a sink visible through a doorway, and a potted plant with pink flowers on a cabinet at the right.
