What happens

Homer, in a yellow protective suit with a visor, handles a glowing green rod at a control panel beneath a CAUTION sign while Mr. Burns and his thin assistant Smithers watch from the right, and Homer's expression shifts from alarm to a grin as the rod glows near his head. Marge, with her tall blue beehive, reads a Mom Monthly magazine at a store checkout, then pushes a wire shopping cart with Maggie, who wears a blue bow and sucks a pacifier, while a clerk in a grey apron holds Maggie up at the register. Marge and Maggie then stand by the cart in an orange-tiled aisle, Maggie grabbing the cart's edge and then holding up a red pacifier, while Marge closes her eyes and raises her hands in a gesture of resignation.
