What happens

A frail, very thin old man with a hooked nose and grey hair at the sides, wearing dark sunglasses and a white lab coat, stands at a blue lectern with an atom emblem in front of a red curtain and gestures expansively with a microphone in hand, then his arm sweeps toward Homer Simpson, who sits nervously on a wooden chair in a purple suit and pink tie, holding a sheet of paper. Hmm, the sequence runs as follows: the old man gleefully introduces himself at the lectern, then raises both hands, then reaches out toward the seated Homer, while an audience of neighbors and townsfolk claps enthusiastically in the purple seats. Finally Homer stands at the lectern clutching paper and a microphone, looking anxious, as the old man folds his arms beside him.
