Homer Simpson stands at the counter of the Kwik-E-Mart while Apu sits behind it and faces him
The Simpsons, “Lisa's Pony” (season 3, episode 8), 14:49–14:59
What happens
Homer Simpson, the bald, heavy man in a white shirt, stands at the counter of the Kwik-E-Mart while Apu, the store owner in a green vest, sits behind it and faces him. Homer then leans over the counter and scratches a lottery ticket with a coin, his eyes wide and his mouth moving with excitement and frustration. As he keeps scratching, his teeth clench and he grins and gasps in turn, and the ticket and coin stay on the counter in front of him. Behind them are shelves of colorful scratch-off cards and a sign reading 'DRINK UP! BUZZ' along with a 'NO CHECKS, CREDIT CARDS, FOOD STAMPS' sign on the counter.
