What happens

Kent Brockman, the grey-haired news anchor, sits at a desk in a red jacket and purple tie, reading from a sheet of paper under a Springfield News banner on a TV screen. Over the first few frames he barely moves, then a circular animated graphic appears in a box at upper right showing a dark silhouetted figure, and he glances down and shifts his hands. In the final frame, the TV scene is replaced by a living room where Lisa, in the foreground, and Maggie, with a pacifier and blue bow, look on through a large window at a dark street outside. Outside, a woman with a tall red beehive hairdo in a red dress, a girl in a pink dress, and a man in a dark coat carrying a large grey sack walk along the sidewalk at night, while a framed portrait of a man in a bow tie hangs on the pink wall.
