What happens

Bart, the spiky-haired boy in an orange shirt, stands at the left beside an orange desk, facing Mrs. Krabappel, his teacher, who has a tall brown hairdo and wears a green cardigan over a yellow top. She reaches out to grip his shoulder and then both of his shoulders while leaning across the desk, and she later sits back, speaks with a grimace, and rests her chin on her clasped hands with her eyes closed. Bart looks up at her with a worried expression, and the final moment shows him standing alone with a downcast, uneasy look beside the desk, a red chair and a purple book at the edge of the frame against a dark blue chalkboard.
