Carl stands with Mr. Burns and Smithers, his thin assistant in a suit, bow tie and badge, in a dugout beneath a packed crowd of fans

What happens

Carl, a Black player in a white uniform with red trim and a bat on his shoulder, stands with Mr. Burns, a frail, stooped old man in a red cap, grey shirt and glasses, and Smithers, his thin assistant in a suit, bow tie and badge, in a dugout beneath a packed crowd of fans. Homer, in a white baseball uniform and red cap, sits on the bench by a water cooler and drinks from a paper cup with his eyes shut, then jerks his head up wide-eyed, grins and bounces up while Carl raises a fist, and finally a uniformed player in the foreground clenches his fists and grits his teeth. Scattered paper cups, a discarded red cap and the blue wooden dugout wall complete the scene.
