About the episode
Homer's homemade Wonder Bat carries the plant's softball team to the title game, and Mr. Burns bets Shelbyville plant owner Aristotle Amadopolis $1 million on a win. He gives sham plant jobs to major leaguers including Darryl Strawberry, Ken Griffey Jr., Roger Clemens and Wade Boggs, but bizarre setbacks leave only Strawberry. Benched for him, Homer pinch-hits in the ninth and wins by taking a pitch to the head.
