The Simpsons, “Homer at the Bat” (season 3, episode 17), 5:01–5:08
What happens
Homer, bald and heavyset in a white baseball uniform and red cap, stands at home plate in a ballpark with a chain-link backstop while a catcher in blue gear crouches behind him and an umpire in a black mask watches. Shown on a purple-framed TV screen, he slowly raises the wooden bat over his shoulder, then swings it through the strike zone, his body turning and the bat sweeping across as he follows through. On-screen text in the bottom right reads "SUPER SLOW MO".
