What happens

Homer, in a red cap and white baseball uniform, stands at home plate holding a bat and pointing toward the mound, with a masked catcher crouched behind him and a dark-skinned man in an orange uniform on the mound. The scene shifts from a close-up of train wheels labeled 'EAST SPRINGFIELD' over the field to a daytime game with fielders and trees in the background, and Homer steps up to the plate, bat raised. The view then dissolves into a night game where the orange-clad pitcher stands on the mound holding a ball, with a crowd in the bleachers and a 'SPRINGFIELD' sign behind him under a crescent moon.
