About the episode

A drunk-driving arrest after a Duff Brewery tour with Barney costs Homer his license, so Marge asks him to stay off beer for 30 days. When Bart throws Lisa's science fair tomato at Principal Skinner, she tests whether her brother is smarter than a hamster, but Bart wins the fair with a hamster that flies a plane. 56. 5:26 that was probably just a facetious remark.
  57. 5:29 And now, a word from our sponsor.
  58. 5:31 I would like to take this opportunity to express my fondness for Duff beer.
  59. 5:39 I'd also like to express my fondness for that particular beer.

  156. 12:01 Hi, I'm actor Troy McClure.
  157. 12:04 You might remember me from such driver's ed films as Alice's Adventures Through the

  163. 12:46 I'm here for the Elkanon meeting.
  164. 12:49 Mm-hmm. Third door on your left.
  165. 12:51 Coping with senility?

  176. 13:23 My name is Otto.
  177. 13:25 I love to get blotto.
  178. 13:28 My name is Hans.
  179. 13:30 Drinking has ruined my life.
  180. 13:32 I'm 31 years old.
  181. 13:35 My name is Homer, and I'm just here because the court made me come.
  182. 13:39 Homer, with our help, you'll never touch a beer again.
  183. 13:43 Ah!
  184. 13:49 So they say I might have a problem.
  185. 13:52 Homie, do you ever drink alone?
  186. 13:55 Does the Lord count as a person?
  187. 13:57 No.
  188. 13:58 Then yes.
  189. 13:59 Do you need a beer to fall asleep?
  190. 14:02 Thank you, that'd be nice.
  191. 14:03 Do you ever hide beer around the house?
  192. 14:05 Do I ever.
  193. 14:09 Do you ever drink to escape from reality?
  194. 14:20 Homie, I'd like you to do something for me.
  195. 14:22 You name it. I want you to give up beer for a month.
  196. 14:26 You got it. No deer for a month. Did you say beer or deer?
  197. 14:32 Deer.
  198. 14:34 Please, homie. I know you can do this.
  199. 14:38 All right.
  200. 14:39 Starting tomorrow, no beer for a month.
  201. 14:45 What was that noise?
  202. 14:46 I was saying, psst, I love you.

  211. 15:44 Huh?
  212. 15:48 She'll pay for this. I'm gonna crush her like this pellet.
  213. 15:52 Ow!
  214. 16:01 Looking for something?
  215. 16:02 What have you done with my report?
  216. 16:04 I've hidden it.
  217. 16:06 To find it, you'll need to decipher a series of clues, each more fiendishly.
  218. 16:09 Got it!
  219. 16:13 Behold gravity in all its glory!
  220. 16:20 Pretty lame, Milhouse.
  221. 16:22 Can I touch it? I've worked too long and hard on this for you to screw it up now.
  222. 16:27 But it's got my name on it. Just stand over there.
  223. 16:30 Over there!
  224. 16:32 Behold the flying machine that will carry me, Phileas Fogg,
  225. 16:36 around the world in 80 days.
  226. 16:43 Dang!
  227. 16:44 I was aiming for his head!
  228. 16:46 Don't think about beer.
  229. 16:51 Hmm, alcohol-fueled car.
  230. 16:55 One for you, one for me.

  232. 17:06 Please, Mother.
  233. 17:08 It's purely in the interest of science.
  234. 17:11 That'll learn him to bust my tomato.
  235. 17:18 Step right up, folks.
  236. 17:20 We'll answer the question that has been plaguing scientists for ages.
  237. 17:24 Can hamsters fly planes?
  238. 17:29 Oh, look. He's got miniature goggles on.
  239. 17:31 Oh, and a little scarf.
  240. 17:33 Isn't that adorable?
  241. 17:35 But this project has no scientific merit.
  242. 17:38 Oh, take a hike, sister.
  243. 17:40 Sour grapes.
  244. 17:41 Lisa, every good scientist is half B.F. Skinner and half P.T.
  245. 17:45 Barnum.
  246. 17:45 I don't think I need to see the other exhibits.
  247. 17:48 First prize!

  254. 18:25 The wind-up and the 2-2 pitch.
  255. 18:28 Oh, no, sir, wait a minute. The banner is calling for time.
  256. 18:32 Looks like he's going and getting himself a new bat.
  257. 18:35 And now there's a beach ball on the field.
  258. 18:38 And the ball boys are discussing which one of them's going to go get it.
  259. 18:42 I never realized how boring this game is.
  260. 18:48 I think I've lost weight. You've never looked better.
  261. 18:54 Thank you all for coming.
  262. 18:56 We've got some very interesting developments in the field of supperware.
  263. 19:00 Uh-huh.

  267. 19:12 It's Mama.
  268. 19:13 I would kill everyone in this room for a drop of sweet beer.
  269. 19:18 So, Homer, please feel free to tell us anything.
  270. 19:21 There's no judgment here.
  271. 19:24 The other day, I was so desperate for a beer,
  272. 19:26 I snuck into the football stadium and ate the dirt under the bleachers.
  273. 19:31 I cast thee out! Don't think about beer.
  274. 19:34 Don't think about beer. Don't think about beer.
  275. 19:37 Ah!
  276. 19:45 Chug-a-la, chug-a-la, chug-a-la, chug-a-la, chug-a-la, chug-a-la.
  277. 19:49 Ah!
  278. 20:03 No!
  279. 20:07 Thirty days.
  280. 20:09 I'm proud of you, homie. Marge, I'm going to Moe's.
  281. 20:12 Send the kids to the neighbors. I'm coming back loaded.
  282. 20:17 You don't have to start drinking right away.
  283. 20:20 I was thinking we could go for a bike ride.
  284. 20:22 But Marge, the barflies are expecting me.
  285. 20:25 Moe and Barney and that guy who calls me Bill.
  286. 20:29 But you look better.

  293. 20:55 Homer's back!
  294. 21:08 Come on, Homer.
  295. 21:10 Do it for your old pal, Mosey. But, Moe, yesterday you called Homer a worthless sack of...
  296. 21:16 Pipe down, Rubber Dub!
  297. 21:18 Oh.
  298. 21:21 Put it in the fridge, Mo.

  303. 21:34 If you didn't close, I'd never leave.
  304. 21:37 Raindrops keep falling on my head.
  305. 21:40 But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turning red.
  306. 21:46 La la la la la.
  307. 21:54 Because I'm free.
  308. 21:58 Nothing's worrying me.

  310. 22:21 to greetin' me
  311. 22:26 The raindrops keep fallin' on my head
  312. 22:30 That doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turning red
  313. 22:35 Crying's not for me Cause I'm never gonna stop
  314. 22:41 the rain by complaining Because I'm free
