What happens

A one-off clerk in a pale blue uniform with green-trimmed sleeves and a round name badge stands behind the counter of a convenience store, a Squishee cup sign above him and a CASH mat on the counter. He starts bent low, head down inside an open cabinet or drawer, then straightens and turns partly away with a pink cordless phone held to his ear. He turns back to face the counter, eyes half-closed as he talks into the phone with a small item in his other hand, then leans slightly and keeps talking, the phone still at his ear.
