Homer sits at the kitchen table with an open newspaper while Bart sits beside a bowl of cereal and a glass of milk

What happens

Homer, the bald, heavy man in a white shirt and glasses, sits at the kitchen table with an open newspaper while Bart, the spiky-haired boy in an orange shirt, sits beside a bowl of cereal and a glass of milk. Homer, mouth open and talking, has his eyes half-closed in the first moments, then Bart leans toward him holding up a small black tape recorder, and Bart's eyes are wide as he aims it at his father. The kitchen has purple cabinets, a green refrigerator, a corkboard with a 'God Bless This Mess' sign and a red-bird postcard, and a rack of plates in the background. Lisa, a small girl with spiky hair and a red dress, is seen in the opening moment, pausing from her cereal bowl as the scene begins.
