What happens

A spiky-haired boy in a black shirt and Santa's Little Helper, the family's brown greyhound with a red collar, are in the living room beside a blue couch, wooden staircase and purple wall. The dog bounds across the purple carpet toward the boy, who stands beside a wooden cabinet topped with a small figurine, then the dog jumps up against him and licks his face while he squeezes his eyes shut and hugs it. A birdcage hangs on the wall behind them.
