Bart Simpson kneels on a checkered tile floor in the family's laundry room, beside a bookshelf and a washing machine

What happens

Bart Simpson, the boy with spiky hair in an orange shirt and blue shorts, kneels on a checkered tile floor in the family's laundry room, beside a bookshelf and a washing machine. Santa's Little Helper, the family's brown greyhound, first noses and jostles against Bart, then Bart hugs the dog around its neck as it stands beside him. The dog then wanders off to the right, and Bart is left kneeling and gazing toward the appliance while a dark grey greyhound-like dog sniffs at the washer's door, with a faint cloud of light appearing near the machine's glass later in the sequence. Bart clasps his hands and winces, then leans back watching the grey dog sniff the appliance's base, and at the end a small sparkle drifts in the air near the washing machine.
