What happens

Green-skinned witches in pointed black hats and dark cloaks, one holding a wooden broom and another a cross-shaped object, stand near a doorway with a wooden cabin and lake visible outside at night. Inside a dim wooden room, a bald, bearded Puritan-style man in a black vest and a woman in a white bonnet and apron stand with two curly red-haired children, a boy and a girl in grey-brown clothes. The witches herd the children toward a table, and the girl is pushed down into a sack-like hood while the boy struggles and whimpers. The hooded children are then pulled into a large white sack with a drawstring, which the witch holds up by its cord, while the adults watch and talk.
