What happens

Krusty the Clown, with green-teal hair, red nose, lavender shirt, green pants and white gloves holding a notepad, stands in the pink living room and faces Homer, who is seated on a dark red couch in a white shirt and blue pants, then later stands by the couch and covers his mouth with his hand. Marge in a tall blue beehive and green dress and Lisa in a red dress stand near the couch in the early moments, with Lisa then walking away across the room toward the couch while Homer looks on. Later Krusty stands with his hands clasped and a blue bow tie while Bart, in an orange shirt, faces him, gesturing with open hands, and Krusty raises a white-gloved hand and then a pointing finger as Bart stands listening. Framed family portraits hang on the pink walls, a potted plant sits in a wall niche, and a lamp with a teal shade sits on a side table near the couch.
