Krusty the Clown performs stand-up at a microphone under a red spotlight against a brick wall, holding a lit cigarette whose smoke curls upward

What happens

Krusty the Clown, with green hair, a red nose and a black jacket over a black sweater, performs stand-up at a microphone under a red spotlight against a brick wall, holding a lit cigarette whose smoke curls upward. He smokes, gestures with his free hand and talks to the audience. The view then cuts to a club room where Homer, cupping his hands at his mouth, Marge with her tall blue beehive, Lisa and Bart sit at round tables watching the act. Krusty continues performing with the microphone and cigarette while seated audience members, including Homer at the left edge, watch from small tables lit by candle lamps. Framed pictures hang on the dark wall and no on-screen text is visible.
