What happens

A heavyset yellow-skinned man in a black knit cap and black sweater grips the steering wheel of a tan car at night, grinning, squinting, then wide-eyed and tense as he drives past a lifeguard tower, a dark shoreline, and parked cars under a purple sky. Outside, a large full moon hangs over an empty road lined with power poles, where a lime-green van with an orange stripe drives ahead of him. The scene returns to the driver, who stares with bulging eyes and a fixed grimace as he keeps both hands on the wheel.
