What happens

Chief Wiggum, a heavy police officer, visits a bedroom at night where Bart sits on the top bunk in green pajamas and a small blond boy, Ralph, lies in the bottom bunk under a pink blanket looking frightened. After the scene opens on the house with a police car parked in the driveway, Wiggum plugs in a small glowing night light beside the wall outlet, then grins and gestures as he steps back toward the purple door, which swings open and then shuts, leaving the night light glowing next to a framed boat picture and a small easel. Bart waves from the top bunk while Ralph stays wide-eyed and tense under the covers.
