What happens

Homer, the bald, heavyset man in red shorts and a harness, dangles from ropes against a bright blue sky dotted with clouds while Marge, with her tall blue beehive and orange life vest, and Lisa, in a matching vest, watch from a platform at lower left. Homer kicks his legs, grips the ropes and strains, his eyes bulging and teeth clenched, then grimaces and sways as he is pulled along the ropes, with a small figure in a striped parachute drifting at top left beside a puff of grey smoke. Marge and Lisa look up at him as he swings and struggles.
