Oh,
- 0:53
my God.
- 1:00
Eek, eek.
- 1:23
Hey, Bart Bart.
- 1:25
Looks like a beautiful day to swipe some picnic baskets.
- 1:30
But, homie, Ranger Ned's not gonna like that.
- 1:33
I'll handle Ranger Ned.
- 1:35
After all, I'm smarter than the average bear.
- 1:38
Well, hello there, ho-diddle-y-homie.
- 1:41
Well, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to ask you to hand over that pic...
- 1:46
Gee, homie, it's not very nice to maul Ranger Ned.
- 1:49
You want some of this? Uh-uh.
- 1:56
Dad, wake up! Wake up!
- 1:59
Oh, I was having the most wonderful dream.
- 2:02
I had a hat and a tie with no pants on. Yeah, yeah.
- 2:05
Anyway, you promised to take us to the lake.
- 2:07
I promised you kids lots of things. That's what makes me such a good father.
- 2:10
Actually, keeping promises would make you a good father.
- 2:13
No, that would make me a great father. So are we going to the lake or what?
- 2:16
Yes, we'll go to the darn lake.
- 2:19
Now go back to bed. It's 4 AM.
- 2:22
Oh, 4 AM? No, I'll never get back to...
- 2:26
I got a gorilla gorilla for sale.
- 2:29
Hey, you should not want to take my banana, Mr.
- 2:33
Peebles.
- 2:40
Wow, it looks like the lake is the place to be.
- 2:44
Well, if we left at 4 a.m. like I wanted to.
- 2:47
Dad, you really should be watching the road.
- 2:49
Hey, Homer, enough traffic for you? Homer, you're spying!
- 2:54
Hey, pfft, screw this. Hang on, everyone.
- 2:58
We're taking the old Simpson shortcut.
- 3:00
Dog, sucker!
- 3:06
Eat my dust, suckers. Stop calling everyone suckers.
- 3:15
Uh, pesticide.
- 3:18
Carbomate, if I'm not mistaken.
- 3:20
Yep, carbomate.
- 3:23
I see it.
- 3:25
Hmm.
- 3:26
This is such a secluded area.
- 3:29
I wonder who lives in that house?
- 3:31
Well, way out in the sticks like this, it could only be hillbillies.
- 3:36
So I suppose that's a hillbilly jacuzzi?
- 3:38
Yep.
- 3:38
That's where they cook up their vittles.
- 3:48
Hey, here come the Simpsons.
- 3:51
Be careful, Homer.
- 3:52
There's a fella in the sand right in front of you.
- 3:57
Okay, remember where we parked.
- 4:00
Homer, is that my muffler? There you go.
- 4:03
And I assume you've read the boat safety manual.
- 4:05
Oh, yeah, couldn't put it down. Come on, boy, let's get me a six-pack.
- 4:09
Uh, sir, you can't operate a boat under the influence of alcohol.
- 4:12
Oh, that sounds like a wager to me.
- 4:15
Life jackets. Check.
- 4:17
Tow rope.
- 4:18
Secure.
- 4:18
Skier. Ready.
- 4:20
Here we go.
- 4:22
She's down.
- 4:24
Oh, look at it go. Stay there, honey.
- 4:28
We'll come back for you.
- 4:38
How's he doing?
- 4:40
I don't know. I think Dad might be a little heavy for parasailing.
- 4:43
Faster, March, faster.
- 4:44
The snapping turtles are messy.
- 4:47
Heads up, coming through. Hey look out, hey volleyball, can I play later?
- 4:52
Hiya, Poop. Oh dear, you've ruined my work, you flying fat man.
- 5:04
Step out of Mom, Dad's signaling that he wants to go higher.
- 5:11
Bye bye fishies.
- 5:13
Higher, higher.
- 5:16
I'm soaring, soaring majestically like a candy wrapper caught in an updraft.
- 5:21
Higher, Marge, higher!
- 5:23
It won't go any! Higher, I say!
- 5:26
I want to soar higher than any man has ever soared.
- 5:29
I want to look down on the clouds with contempt.
- 5:32
I want to stare at God's creation and spit on his...
- 5:36
Uh-oh.
- 5:40
Lower, lower!
- 5:41
There goes my turn.
- 5:45
Oh, this is not good.
- 5:49
Oh, nuts.
- 6:00
Oh, already?
- 6:02
Ah!
- 6:03
What the hell?
- 6:04
Sorry, lady. I know you! You're Kim Basinger!
- 6:07
It's Basinger. Oh, my God, I'm such a huge, huge fan of yours, Miss Basinger.
- 6:12
Thanks.
- 6:13
Listen, you think you could slide over a little?
- 6:16
Well, I am a married man. You're crushing my husband.
- 6:22
Billy Baldwin!
- 6:23
I'm Alec Baldwin.
- 6:24
Could you get off me?
- 6:26
So, what are you two kids doing in my neck of the woods?
- 6:29
Well... Wait!
- 6:30
Tell me over breakfast. Who's for pancakes?
- 6:37
Are you sure you don't want to go to the hospital, Mr.
- 6:39
Simpson?
- 6:39
You had an awful lot of glass in you. Oh, I don't want to be a bother.
- 6:43
Anyway, what are you two big Hollywood stars doing in good old Springfield?
- 6:46
Sometimes we need to get away from Hollywood.
- 6:49
Ellie is just so phony.
- 6:51
Why didn't you just move to say Bethesda?
- 6:53
Not phony enough. What we really like here is the privacy.
- 6:57
Most people don't even know where Springfield is.
- 6:59
Yeah, tell you the truth, I'm not even sure.
- 7:02
We're trying to keep a low profile.
- 7:04
We don't even go to the supermarket.
- 7:06
Yeah, we've been living off congratulatory muffin baskets.
- 7:10
Blech.
- 7:11
Zucchini.
- 7:12
Don't just put that back in the basket. I'm gonna eat it later.
- 7:16
You shouldn't have to survive on dry, crumbly muffins from...
- 7:19
the Gersh Agency.
- 7:21
You should let me do your shopping.
- 7:23
I know where I can get you some great muffins.
- 7:26
No more muffins. Okay, fine.
- 7:29
But I could do all kinds of stuff for you.
- 7:31
I noticed that skylight in your bedroom's broken.
- 7:33
Yeah, I'm not sure we need an assistant, Mr.
- 7:36
Simpson.
- 7:37
Please, Homer.
- 7:38
Come on, if you let me hang around a while, I can do all kinds of stuff for you.
- 7:42
Well, we are down to our last roll of toilet paper.
- 7:44
And I have been brushing my teeth with hair gel for a week.
- 7:47
I suppose we could give it a try. Yeah, you owe me that much.
- 7:51
Okay, you're on. But look, nobody knows we're in Springfield,
- 7:53
and we want to keep it that way.
- 7:55
Will you promise to keep our secret?
- 7:56
Absolutely, if you promise to keep mine.
- 7:59
Okay, what is it? I can't read.
- 8:01
But you just read that card from the Gersh agency.
- 8:04
I recognize the logo.
- 8:10
Mommy, are you okay?
- 8:11
We've been looking all over for you, Dad.
- 8:13
Where did you land?
- 8:14
Nowhere, famous.
- 8:16
Where'd you get that muffin?
- 8:18
Gersh Agency.
- 8:25
Ah-hoo, I'm about to purchase some weird and fruity items, and I don't want any guff.
- 8:29
First of all, I'll need the following mushrooms.
- 8:31
Portobello. Yes. Porcini. Great.
- 8:33
Chanterelle. Uh-huh.
- 8:34
And shiitake. Okay, we have none of those.
- 8:37
What is next? A gallon of wheatgrass juice, a five pound wad of tofu,
- 8:42
some jellied zinc, and a couple of pairs of $600 sunglasses.
- 8:46
Mr. Simpson,
- 8:47
these exotic items are suspiciously different from your usual order of beer and pork.
- 8:51
What gives?
- 8:53
Nothing, nothing. I'm just broadening my horizons.
- 8:56
By the way, do you have extra white bumper stickers for a Humvee?
- 9:02
Wow, you got everything, Homer. Even the Oscar polish.
- 9:09
Honey, why don't you give that thing a rest?
- 9:11
You're taking the finish off. When you win one, you can take care of it however you want.
- 9:17
Woo-hoo!
- 9:18
Meow!
- 9:20
I'll get it, I'll get it!
- 9:23
Yes?
- 9:24
Hi, I'm Ron Howard.
- 9:26
Ron Howard?
- 9:27
Yeah, I'm looking for Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger.
- 9:31
Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger? Oh, hey, Ron,
- 9:34
we heard you were looking for a place in Springfield.
- 9:36
Yeah, well, it's the only town in America that'll let me fish with dynamite.
- 9:40
Uh, what's with him? Oh, that's just Homer.
- 9:43
He's a new friend of ours. Really?
- 9:45
You giant stars consider me a friend?
- 9:48
Well, for the first time in my life, I feel like I'm somebody.
- 9:52
Ronnie, are you also my close friend?
- 9:55
Do I smell vodka and wheatgrass?
- 9:59
It's called a lawnmower. I invented it. You want one?
- 10:02
Yeah, okay.
- 10:02
And I'll have a rum and zinc.
- 10:04
Ooh, I'll have one of those, too. Hey, can I crash here tonight?
- 10:07
Sure.
- 10:08
We'll all stay.
- 10:13
A cell phone?
- 10:15
Last Thursday's variety?
- 10:20
I'll do that. You go upstairs and have a beer.
- 10:22
Homer, when did you become a member of PETA?
- 10:25
Well, you know me. I love animals.
- 10:28
Beef, chicken, veal.
- 10:30
If you're not part of the solution, Marge, you're part of the problem.
- 10:33
But that's not what Peter's think.
- 10:36
Imagine films.
- 10:38
A division of Homer Co.
- 10:41
And lift. And strain.
- 10:44
And hyper-extend. Keep those knees rigid.
- 10:48
Jerk that lower back.
- 10:49
Homer, I'm feeling some sharp pains in my neck.
- 10:52
That's right. Force it. Whip that neck.
- 10:55
Um, does anybody know where this came from?
- 10:57
Oh, there's that movie script I wrote.
- 11:01
Where did you find it? On my pillow. The important thing is,
- 11:06
it's got the perfect part for you. Either one of you.
- 11:09
It's about a killer robot driving instructor who travels back in time for some reason.
- 11:14
Ron Howard's attached to direct.
- 11:16
I am not. Well, he expressed an interest.
- 11:18
No, I didn't. Did too?
- 11:20
I did not! You lie!
- 11:22
Yeah, Homer, most movie scripts are 120 pages.
- 11:26
This is only 17.
- 11:27
And several of the pages are just drawings of the time machine.
- 11:30
So you're saying you don't want to star in my movie?
- 11:33
I'm sorry, Homer.
- 11:35
Well, if Alec is out, I'm out too.
- 11:37
You're on your own, Patsy.
- 11:39
The Terminizer, an erotic thriller?
- 11:43
So I'm in the grocery store the other day, buying some cotton balls.
- 11:47
The absorbent kind? You got that right, my friend.
- 11:51
So, around the corner and I head down the ointment aisle, when who should I spot?
- 11:55
None other than Kent Brackman. The local news guy?
- 11:58
Mr.
- 11:59
Channel 6?
- 12:01
My God!
- 12:02
What'd I give to meet him? Oh, they don't come much bigger than that.
- 12:06
Pfft. Gent Brockman, please.
- 12:08
Oh, what? I suppose you've seen a bigger star.
- 12:11
I might have.
- 12:13
Come on, make with a name.
- 12:15
Oof.
- 12:16
I can't. I promise I wouldn't. Oh, yeah, right.
- 12:19
You ain't seen nobody.
- 12:20
Ah, another guy will go! Please don't tell anyone we're here.
- 12:25
You've got to keep our secret, Homer. Homer, we're out of vodka.
- 12:29
Tell the people, Homer. They have a right to know about the celebrity summer house.
- 12:34
Who the hell are you? What do you care?
- 12:36
I'm telling you what you want to hear.
- 12:38
All right, I'm gonna let you guys in on something.
- 12:41
But you got to keep it much more secret than I did.
- 12:50
Yes!
- 12:51
In your freckled face, Howard!
- 12:55
Unbelievable.
- 12:56
What? Nothing, nothing. Good hustle.
- 13:02
My god, the lemonade.
- 13:04
Look at the lemonade.
- 13:08
Uh-oh.
- 13:15
Quick, everybody inside.
- 13:20
The shuttlecock! Where's the shuttlecock?
- 13:28
What do you think this is crazy?
- 13:30
Hey, son.
- 13:31
Yarr, I loved Splash, Mr. Howard.
- 13:34
It was totally, uh, yarr.
- 13:38
Now, Miss Basinger, those red pumps you wore in L.A.
- 13:40
Confidential were fabulous. Where can I get a pair for my, uh, mother?
- 13:44
She wears a 12 double A. Alec, Alec,
- 13:46
regarding that so-called silent propulsion system in the hunt for Red October,
- 13:50
I printed out a list of technical errors which I think you'd enjoy discussing.
- 13:57
Somebody must have told them we live here.
- 13:59
I'm looking at you, poor Jack.
- 14:02
Homer, how could you? Okay, okay, it was me.
- 14:05
I'm sorry I blew your secret, but you don't know what it's like to be a nobody.
- 14:08
I just wanted to bask in your reflected glory.
- 14:13
Reflected glory!
- 14:14
Homer, you betrayed our confidence.
- 14:17
I just don't think we can be friends anymore.
- 14:20
But where will I bask?
- 14:23
Anywhere but here. Come on, Ron.
- 14:25
We're not wanted here.
- 14:29
All right, I'll go.
- 14:30
But the next time you want someone to remind you which brother is which or smell your hair
- 14:35
while you're sleeping, just remember, old Homer won't be here anymore.
- 14:40
Hey, come on!
- 14:42
Wait a minute.
- 14:43
Somebody's coming out. Who is it? Is it anybody?
- 14:46
Nah, nah, it's nobody.
- 14:48
Throw your stones. It's nobody.
- 14:59
Oh, how could Alec and Kim just cut me out of their lives?
- 15:03
Hmm, you haven't touched your food.
- 15:07
Well, when Kim makes a man, would she use his focaccia bread?
- 15:11
And would it kill you to put some fennel in it?
- 15:14
Alec Baldwin, wow, that is the coolest person you've ever been fired by.
- 15:18
What was it like at their house? Oh, it was so great.
- 15:21
I didn't have to fake it with them. I was actually excited to hear about their day.
- 15:26
I watched the dog today. Was it the dog from the Beethoven movies?
- 15:29
Of course not.
- 15:30
Oh, our dog isn't famous, and you kids aren't exactly John and Joan Cusack.
- 15:35
And you, you couldn't open a movie if your life depended on it.
- 15:39
I'm about ready to ankle this family.
- 15:41
Ankle?
- 15:43
What are you talking about?
- 15:45
See?
- 15:46
It's like we don't even speak the same language anymore.
- 15:49
The only one who understands me is that guy who married Martha Ray.
- 15:52
Don't blame us, Dad. The celebrities are the ones who canned you.
- 15:56
Hmm, she may not be famous, but she's right.
- 15:58
Those big shot stars used me up and spit me out.
- 16:01
I did their laundry, got their pictures developed, took their garbage to the dump,
- 16:05
and I still got a car full of their crap.
- 16:10
Crap, eh?
- 16:16
Hey, is it too late to see the movie stars?
- 16:18
Nah, nah, just hop that fence, sneak up and peek in the window there.
- 16:24
All right.
- 16:28
I never get tired of that.
- 16:32
Attention, starstruck fools!
- 16:34
Step right up and see the world's greatest mobile collection of Alec and Ron and Kim-a-ro
- 16:40
-belia.
- 16:41
That's only five, no wait, ten dollars.
- 16:44
You heard right, twenty dollars. Come on, me first.
- 16:46
Come on, babe.
- 16:49
Mm-hmm.
- 16:52
Hey, it's Alec Baldwin's Medic Alert Bracelet.
- 16:55
That's right. Mr. Tough Guy can't handle a little penicillin.
- 16:59
Oh, and look at this. We can't even pay our bills.
- 17:02
And they're drinking Royal Crown Cola.
- 17:06
Hey, hey, go easy on the celebrities, huh?
- 17:09
Yeah, what gives you the right time? We love celebrities!
- 17:12
Oh, yeah?
- 17:13
What have they ever done for you?
- 17:14
When was the last time Barbara Streisand cleaned out your garage?
- 17:18
And when it's time to do the dishes, where's Ray Bulger?
- 17:23
I'll tell you, Ray Bulger is looking out for Ray Bulger!
- 17:30
Oh, look.
- 17:32
Wasn't that a fun weekend?
- 17:34
Yeah.
- 17:35
Homer was a pretty good guy.
- 17:36
And we just tossed him out like a Golden Globe Award.
- 17:40
I've got to admit, I miss the way he used to tuck us in and kiss us on the forehead.
- 17:44
Forehead?
- 17:45
Oh, maybe I should have made his movie.
- 17:48
Yeah, it wasn't that bad.
- 17:50
I mean, the script might even work if you got rid of the talking pie.
- 17:53
What are you, crazy? It's a buddy picture.
- 17:56
Without the pie, it would just be me on screen for two hours.
- 17:59
Oh, yeah, and you'd hate that. No, no, no, you can't lose the pie.
- 18:02
The pie's your heart.
- 18:04
Okay, okay, keep the damn pie.
- 18:06
The point is, we weren't fair to Homer.
- 18:08
He screwed up, but he deserves another chance.
- 18:11
Yeah, everyone makes mistakes. I mean,
- 18:14
we'd want another chance if one of us ever made a bad film, right?
- 18:28
I'm really looking forward to seeing Homer again.
- 18:31
He always has the most interesting odors.
- 18:35
Ooh, look at me!
- 18:37
I'm Kim Basinger, the big movie star. I'm so beautiful.
- 18:42
I think I'm so great.
- 18:44
I'm too important to take Homer to the Oscars.
- 18:47
What the... Gotta go. Thank you for supporting the Museum of Hollywood Jerks.
- 18:52
Let's get him. And this time, it's personal.
- 18:56
What? It is personal.
- 18:58
He's got our underpants.
- 19:07
I'll never outrun them in a museum. Pull over, you maniac!
- 19:11
No!
- 19:12
Just jump over there, Alec. It's not that far.
- 19:15
Yeah, you're a big screen tough guy.
- 19:17
Gee, I'd love to, but I'm not really wearing the right shoes.
- 19:21
Bra!
- 19:23
Fine.
- 19:31
I made it! All by myself. Hey, were you watching, sweetheart?
- 19:34
I made it!
- 19:36
Ow!
- 19:37
My watch is caught. Oh, for the love of...
- 19:40
Hold on.
- 19:42
Can you drive?
- 19:43
Not well, but I'll give it a shot.
- 19:50
Oh, God.
- 19:58
I guess it's up to me.
- 20:03
Oh, run!
- 20:07
You killed Ron Howard.
- 20:10
Okay, I'll stop.
- 20:16
Mr. Simpson, do you have anything to say for yourself?
- 20:20
Yes, I do. I believe that famous people have a debt to everyone.
- 20:24
If celebrities didn't want people pawing through their garbage and saying they're gay,
- 20:28
they shouldn't have tried to express themselves creatively.
- 20:33
In closing, you people must realize that the public owns you for life.
- 20:39
And when you're dead, you'll all be in commercials dancing with vacuum cleaners.
- 20:44
Thank you, Your Honor.
- 20:47
Mr. Simpson, you are forbidden to come within 500 miles of any celebrity, living or dead.
- 20:53
Woo-hoo!
- 20:56
Well, I'll always have my crank calls.
- 21:00
Hello, old lady from Titanic?
- 21:02
You stink!
- 21:07
And it grows to a powerful,
- 21:11
emotional climax when the father has to choose which one of his children will live
