What happens

Homer, in a yellow protective suit with an orange harness and goggles, holds a glowing green rod at the nuclear plant control panel while Mr. Burns, frail and stooped with a hooked nose, and his thin assistant Smithers watch from the right beside a CAUTION sign. The scene then cuts to the Kwik-E-Mart, where Marge, with her tall blue beehive and red bead necklace, reads Mom Monthly beside a shopping cart, then pushes the cart as Maggie, with a pacifier and blue bow, sits up at the checkout conveyor and later in the cart. Maggie sucks her pacifier and spits it out while Marge, her eyes closed and hands raised, reacts.
