What happens

Lisa Simpson, the girl with star-shaped spiky hair and a red dress, wearing a pearl necklace, is seated at a desk in a cluttered office at first, then sits on a small chair in the same room, while Smithers, the thin assistant with glasses, sits behind a desk in a blue suit and orange tie, not Mr. Burns, who is absent. Lisa looks wide-eyed and speaks, then Smithers gestures and talks, raising his hands and pointing, before he sits with his hands folded and speaks again. In the final part of the scene, Smithers operates a small console on his desk while a large scoreboard above shows its lights changing from dark to glowing orange arrows, with the labels SPRINGFIELD, QUARTER and VISITORS visible beneath it, and scattered papers and debris cover the floor near a potted plant and bookshelf.
