What happens

A grey-haired, heavyset man in a dark jacket and teal shirt grips a wooden baseball bat and swings it down onto the back of a slumped man in a purple jacket who is sprawled across a round table in a dim, wood-panelled room. The bat-wielder then raises his arms behind his head, grinning, while Homer, in a black suit and tie, watches with his hands clasped at his waist. The bat-man holds the bat across his chest and gestures with it as Homer grimaces, then raises the bat overhead while spreading his other hand, before lowering it to his side as Homer stands wide-eyed and uneasy. Homer is left alone in the room, which has a green double door, and the scene cuts to the exterior of the Springfield Dinner Theater, with its marquee reading "Guys and Dolls" above silhouetted gangsters holding guns and a red carpet leading to glowing double doors.
