What happens

A yellow-faced cartoon man with a bald crown and tan fringe, and a big-eyed orange furry alien with a snout, appear against a starry black background, with the animated text "BI-MON-SCI-FI-CON" first forming in blue and white, then fading back to stars. The man's head grins and then drifts with the orange creature, the two floating side by side and turning to face each other.
