What happens

No regular characters appear in this opening title sequence. It begins on black, then shows a blue sky filled with drifting tan and cream clouds, with the yellow title text THE SIMPSONS appearing among them. The view then moves to a town of colorful buildings and green hills, with a nuclear power plant cooling tower and a Springfield sign on a hotel-like building, and a welcome sign is partly visible at the bottom. It ends on a street view of a yellow school-like building with a flagpole and a shop awning reading DANNY at the left edge, with no people in sight.
