What happens

Homer, a bald heavyset man in a yellow protective suit with a welding helmet and orange harness, grips a glowing green rod at a control console beneath a CAUTION sign while Mr. Burns, a frail, stooped old man with a hooked nose, and his thin assistant Smithers, who wears glasses, watch from behind the desk. The scene moves to a store where Marge, with her tall blue beehive and red beads, reads a Mom Monthly magazine at the checkout, and Maggie, with her pacifier and blue bow, stands beside a clerk in a pink shirt and grey apron who holds a red item on the counter. Marge then pushes a cart with Maggie riding in it, and Maggie holds up a red object while Marge raises her hands in a gesture of surprise.
