What happens

Homer Simpson sits on a red kitchen stool in the Simpsons' kitchen, reading a thick stack of newspapers while Santa's Little Helper, the brown greyhound, lies on the checkered floor beside the pile and then sniffs at it. Homer gestures and grins, then glowers and points at the dog, which droops its head and sulks. Homer later stands at the kitchen counter pointing, and the scene closes with Homer sitting with the papers while Lisa, with star-shaped spiky hair and a red dress, looks on from the right beside a red chair. Notable objects include the newspaper stack, the microwave, the pink door with framed family portraits, and a wastebasket.
