Homer and Bart first stand by a kitchen counter where a wastebasket is stuffed with newspapers, while Homer reads a newspaper

What happens

Homer, bald and heavy in a white shirt, and Bart, the spiky-haired boy in an orange shirt, first stand by a kitchen counter where a wastebasket is stuffed with newspapers, while Homer reads a newspaper. Later the scene shifts to the kitchen table, where Homer and Bart sit with Marge, her tall blue beehive and red beads prominent, and Lisa and Maggie, who sits in a high chair. Homer holds a newspaper open and then Marge holds up a copy of Scullery Week while Bart watches, and Homer reaches over and takes the paper from her hands, pulling it away. The kitchen has checkered floors, a green refrigerator, a microwave, and a coffee maker on the counter.
