What happens

Mr. Burns, the frail, stooped old man with a hooked nose and lavender jacket, and his thin assistant Smithers in glasses and a purple bow tie stand outside Moe's bar on a city sidewalk. In the opening frames two small figures, one in white and one in a brown coat, walk along the pavement beside a pale blue car and a pink car parked nearby. Burns then faces Smithers at close range, his fists clenched and scowling, while Smithers smiles, and the red MOE'S sign hangs above them.
