What happens

Homer, in a yellow protective suit and helmet, handles a glowing green rod with tongs at a control panel beneath a CAUTION sign while Mr. Burns and Smithers watch from behind, then he turns and reaches to press the red button. The scene shifts to a store checkout where Lisa, holding a MOM Monthly magazine, peers over a cart beside a blue register with a CHECKS sign, and Marge, in a green dress and red beads, smiles with closed eyes and waves a hand as Lisa chews something.
