What happens

No regular characters appear; a dark, swirling column of smoke descends from the top of a pink living room, its base leaving a black scorch mark on the teal rug beside a maroon couch, a purple lamp and a telephone on a side table. The smoke then fades, leaving the empty room, and the scene ends on a television screen that first reads "Created by Matt Groening" in yellow letters, then "Developed by James L. Brooks, Matt Groening, Sam Simon."
