At a swap meet, Bart and Lisa find an old record with Homer on the cover, and he tells them how he, Apu, Principal Skinner and Barney, who replaced Chief Wiggum, became the 1985 barbershop sensation the Be Sharps. Homer's song "Baby on Board" makes them stars, wins a Grammy and gets Homer a meeting with George Harrison, but fame, quarrels and Barney's avant-garde girlfriend soon break the group apart.
