The Simpsons, “Homer and Apu” (season 5, episode 13), 2:27–2:34
What happens
A cartoon brown hound dog in a white trench coat and white fedora, a character resembling Kent Brockman's Channel 6 consumer watchdog segment, appears against a dark blue, purple-framed television-style backdrop. The dog stands at the left and opens its mouth to bark or bite while the on-screen title text reads BITE, then BITE BACK, then BITE BACK WITH KENT BROCKMAN, then BITE BACK WITH KENT BROCKMAN AND HIS CHANNEL 6, and finally BITE BACK WITH KENT BROCKMAN AND HIS CHANNEL 6 CONSUMER WATCHDOG, with the text building line by line to the right of the dog as it turns slightly to face the viewer.
