What happens

Ned Flanders, Homer in a black suit and bow tie, and Marge stand at a wooden railing among a crowd of townspeople watching something, while Otto in an orange cap and headphones and a woman with bone-topped blue-green hair look on with wide, tense expressions. As the crowd's gaze shifts and Otto gestures, a sign reading 'YPE' hangs overhead. The scene then moves to a hexagonal barred cage in a green-rimmed tub of dark sludge, where Homer peers out and waves a hand while Bart in his orange shirt lies beside him, splattered with black goo.
