What happens

Bart stands in a police station hallway facing Chief Wiggum, who crouches beside a brown-and-white collie wearing a gold star medal, holding its pink leash while the dog sits and the chief grins at it. The scene then cuts to a purple kitchen where Marge in orange gloves stands at a sink full of suds, while Homer, Lisa and Bart sit at a blue-draped table with plates and Maggie sits in a high chair nearby.
