The Simpsons, “Simpson Tide” (season 9, episode 19), 6:45–6:55
What happens
Homer Simpson, in a sailor cap and blue jacket, clenches his fists at a ship's railing, and later stands in a white-uniformed sailor lineup beside other sailors, one of them heavyset. The USS New Jersey sails across open water and fires a shot, then a small boat plunges down a waterfall between rocky cliffs. A marching band in dark uniforms parades across a field past a stage under a 'GRADUATION DAY' banner, with a water tower and low sheds behind them, while the ship's hull bears the lettering 'USS NEW JERSEY'.
