What happens

Comptroller Atkins, a bald bearded man with glasses wearing a blue suit and a sash reading COMPTROLLER, stands at a wooden podium on a red-curtained stage, holding a large check from the Department of the State Treasurer for Springfield Elementary School, Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand. Beside him, Mr. Burns, a stooped old man with a hooked nose and grey hair at the sides in a blue suit, and a taller man with swept-back brown hair in a teal suit watch him. The Comptroller then grins and holds the check up with the two men, and afterward he leans into the microphone at the podium while a stack of checks sits on the floor by the podium.
