What happens

Mr. Burns, a frail stooped old man with a hooked nose and grey hair at the sides, grips the shoulder of a bearded man with glasses and brown hair in a blue jacket as they stand in a corridor by a corkboard, then pushes open a door and leaves the bearded man out of view. The scene shifts to a stage with a red curtain, a podium and two flags, where Principal Skinner in a suit and orange tie holds up a large check from the Department of the State Treasurer, payable to Springfield Elementary School for $250,000 and signed Comptroller Atkins. Seated audience members in the rows below raise their hands and cheer as he holds the check overhead.
