What happens

Homer, bald and heavy in a white Team Simpson shirt, and Bart, spiky-haired in a matching Team Simpson shirt, build a cardboard racer in their driveway and garage. Homer puffs a cigar and works a welder with sparks flying while Bart, wearing a helmet, stands by a metal frame and a box marked GAS. Later Bart stands beside a cardboard cart labeled Lil' Lisa as Homer looks on, with a Soap Box Derby poster on the wall behind them.
