What happens

Bart, the spiky-haired boy in an orange shirt with a 'TEAM' shirt, stands at a outdoor event area beside a row of spectators, while Homer, bald and stubbly in a white 'TEAM' shirt, looks down at him with a stern, frowning expression. A uniformed official in an orange cap and blue tie, holding a clipboard, stands between them near a large cardboard box, and in the background Marge with her blue beehive and Maggie with her blue bow watch from behind a rope barrier beneath a banner reading 'TRIALS'. The official then turns toward Bart, gesturing with his hand and speaking, as Bart glances sideways and a grey-haired man stands in the background. In the final moment Bart, wide-eyed and with his mouth open, stares to the side against a brown background.
